A dial over the entrance gateway. The elaborate, heraldic carving in the three panels next to the dial overwhelms it.

The initials and heraldry are of John Learmouth of Balcomie and, his wife, Elizabeth Myreton of Randerston.

The frieze above the panels is the inscription. (EXCEPT) THE LORD BVLD THE HOUSE THEY LABOUR IN VAINE THAT BUILD IT.

This South facing gateway dates from 1660.
