| This dial can be found at the centre of the walled garden. This sundial was a rather easy one to visit as it was on a trip with family to see Culzean Castle. I didn't tell them about it until we were almost upon it. This was virtually the first time the sun came out since the previous summer. I had to wait about for the sun as, so often in Scotland, it was flitting across the sky. The location is not the dial's original site (which is Calder House) but it does seem fitting. Until late 2005 the lectern dial of Greenbank House,Renfrewshire will be at the National Trust for Scotland's workshop at Culzean Castle for restoration following two severe acts of vandalism. |
